I bought two of these specifically to control Christmas lights but having two Tapo smart plugs already I knew what to use them for once the lights were down. Handy things and easy to use with Tapo app. Integration with Google Home has been useful too.

These high-tech switches from TAPO are wonderful and this one, which measures energy consumption as well as offering scheduled and remote switching, is the best of the bunch. However, it's not trivial to set up and the TAPO leaflet is completely useless
