This high-torque deck features the same trusted layout as the PLX-1000, making it perfect for vinyl newcomers and experienced collectors alike. Solid construction ensures excellent vibration damping for precise audio playback. USB connectivity allows you to digitise your vinyl collection using the included free recordbox software.

I feel like a professional DJ
This turntable is a massive upgrade from my last turntable - and boy I can tell - this Pioneer DJ500 rocks, my old vinyl sounds so much better and the newer records are crystal clear. The ability to record play back direct to a PC is a great addition, as is having a line out and a phono out so you can use powered speakers with no other additions required …. Only down side - I know need better speakers, but that a me problem not a turntable problem.

This is overall, excellent. Very well built, very heavy and sturdy. Sounds great too, warm and not overly bright. Feels very good quality for the price. However, there is a minor niggle with this deck and it lies with the phono connections. They are built into the deck. They are too short, which means the deck is very close to the amplifier, it then means you get slight feedback and with no ground wire you can’t eliminate the noise. Please feel free to tell me how to eliminate the noise if you wish.

It's insulated inside, but this doesn't have a ground loop that you can flip on and off.

The original answer is wrong. This turntable has a stereo output, that is two connectors, one for each channel, not a single mono cable. It also has a switchable phono amplifier built in, which means it will connect directly to either the Phono input or the Aux input on an amplifier, depending on the position of the switch on the back of the turntable.

"Yes, you can connect a Pioneer PLX-500 turntable to an external Rotel amplifier with two-channel RCA connector sockets. The PLX-500 has a single RCA output, which can be connected to either the left or right channel of the amplifier, but you will need to use a Y-adapter or a mono-to-stereo adapter to connect it to both channels if you want to use both channels of the amplifier for a stereo signal. However, if your amplifier has a mono input or you are using it in a setup where one channel is sufficient, you can connect directly."

This turntable comes with all the accessories you need to get started: Audio adaptor, USB and power Cables. Dust cover with jacket stand, a slipmat and a silver edition PC-HS01-S headshell (cartridge and stylus included).
