The Challenge 16 inch Wheel Size Unisex Dirt BMX Bike builds confidence and coordination as they learn to ride with purpose. Its steel frame is built to handle bumps and knocks as skills progress, whilst V-brakes front and rear offer reliable stopping power through ergonomic levers shaped for smaller hands. Each ride strengthens balance, control and a growing sense of independence.
It's designed for riders aged 5 years and over with an inside leg of 18-20 inches, with 16-inch wheels suited to this stage of learning. The steel diamond frame provides durability through repeated use. BMX-style tyres support grip on varied surfaces. Front and rear V-brakes feature levers specifically designed to suit small hands. Steel rims add robust construction. Minimal assembly required, with tyres arriving partially inflated - top them up before the first ride.

*NOT* for a 5 year old!
Despite being clearly described as suitable for a 5 year old, this is most definitely too big for a 5 year old. My boy cannot touch the ground with both feet, even our nearly 7 year old found fit too large.
