Good basic kit to add to
Good basic kit BUT, only give it 3 stars as we are very disappointed with the keypad - it has no speaker, so no confirmation sound. All sounds come from the hub, which for us is a hallway and room away from the front door so we cannot hear them. Our old Yale system keypad produced sounds and had a display so you were confident the alarm was set or you put in the correct code. Even the support team did not know this!. Instructions are lacking in this detail. I may not have purchased if I'd known this. On a plus, the app is good and the devices have a good range

Not enough information
I’m usually reasonably good installing new products but this has really frustrated me. Nothing is explain in plain English, even when I phoned the helpline didn’t find the answers

Good system.
Seems to be a good bit of kit, some of the instructions could be better.

Need Internet First
You cannot register any of this, or even connect the hub without an internet connection. If you buy a new house and cannot get the internet connect for a week or so then you will have no alarm. Their claim that it will work without the internet is not true. the very first thing the app does is register the product online and if it is not connected to the internet it all fails. If you connect it to your wifi router without that having the internet connected it just fails. The whole system is ill thought out at best. They should have made the system so it all connects to your router via the hub which stores the setup in flash memory. That way when you do get internet it could all be uploaded but, retained basic alarm functionality until the internet connection was available.,

Old out new in
Our last Yale alarm had been working for the last 12 years, it actually did not go wrong but was analog in a digital world, new system and app is great
US..
Basic alarm set and not very smart
App has very poor range of features and control, video feeds don't pull into other smart home devices like Google home/nest

Not bad features for the price
Bought to replace a SR-330 which failed on a tamper fault to the external siren. Immediate impressions: - Indicator led on keypad is hidden behind the barely transparent plastic case and is effectively invisible. - External alarm is no better protected from moisture ingress from previous version - Door/window contact unit has no easily accesible fastener mount points (without what appears to be unrecoverable disassembly) so adhesive seems to be the only option. Too early to comment on the base unit battery or external alarm tamper longevity. 4 star rating is largely based on the kits function for its price point compared to other alternatives.

Hi CAB.
Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit:
Having checked the instructions, there are only certain phrases that can be used between Alexa and the alarm. You are not able to disarm the alarm through Alexa.
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living is the alarm armed?
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living to arm my alarm.
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living is the desk lamp on?
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living is the back door open?
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living is the patio locked?
Alexa, ask Yale Smart Living home arm the alarm.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Ravi,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit: ''The PIR’s in this kit are not pet friendly so if pet friendly required you would have to purchase separately to add to the kit.''
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hi Flynn,
Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit
Having checked I can see door sensors are available to add on to this kit. I can also see there is no need to worry about furry friends creating false alarms with the option to part-arm and control different areas of your home.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi JDC,
The external siren within the kit is battery operated – you can purchase a mains powered siren separately to add to the kit.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit:
As long as the alarm hub has a wired ethernet connection to a router then you can have alarm devices connected to the hub within a 200m range of it – the devices speak to the alarm hub via radio frequency and not WI-FI.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello CJ,
The supplier has advised the following for the Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit:
“ The sirens will not sound if there is a network outage.
If there is a power cut at the property, the hub will still work as a standard system via the backup battery but during this time you cannot control the system via the app on your smart phone and you will also not receive notifications during this time. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Alarm
Please see the 'More Details' section on the webpage where it states that there are no ongoing monitoring fees once the system has been set up.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Quinn,
The supplier has advised the following for the Yale Sync Home Alarm Kit:
"Without the hub connected to your router you can use the system as a basic system to arm and disarm via the key pad with the default code."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Hector,
Yes, you can.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Dan,
