This low odour formulation is quick drying making it the perfect product when you need to save time. It dries to a hardwearing matt finish that is ideal for hiding surface imperfections. “ Yes, the matt emulsion is water based and suitable for walls and ceilings. It can be used on top of any surface primer which is also water based. The primer helps to seal difficult substrates. ”

It's not advisable to use this One Coat Matt in bathrooms as it doesn't have any moisture resistance.

I have checked the Johnstones One Coat Matt Emulsion Paint Brilliant White 2.5L states. All absorbent surfaces should first be sealed with Johnstone’s One Coat Matt Emulsion thinned with up to 1 part clean water to 4 parts paint.

"I can confirm that the product detailed should be white within the tin and dry white, it does not begin pink in its wet state and dry white."

They say " the product detailed will not achieve an acceptable level of performance and long term durability if applied to doors and frames.
The level of wear and limited amount of cleanability the coating would achieve on such an area will result in a premature breakdown and limited levels of maintenance."

After checking with the manufacturer I can confirm this Johnstones One Coat Matt Emulsion Paint is suitable for all surfaces also long as you ensure all surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint.
