This mattress is so comfy and a good 2 - 3 inches thicker than my old one, which is good, as my headboard used to sit, about 2 inches above the old mattress and that was, as far as the headboard went down.- not now, though. The mattress comes vacuum sealed and rolled in a box. I think you're meant to leave it, to expand for 24hrs - I didn't and it was fine. It's very heavy, so you're getting quality.

This is new stock and not refurbished. In terms of the vacuum pack question, this isn't tested nor will be. They can stay packed till they need to be opening. It's the same if you vacuum pack clothes for storage.
