The Smeg DCF02 brings proper filter coffee to your morning routine, brewing up to 10 cups of richly-flavoured coffee or 4 cups for smaller batches. This drip coffee machine uses ground coffee only and lets you adjust aroma intensity to suit your taste, so whether you prefer a delicate cup or something more robust, you can dial in the strength that works for you. The 24-hour programmable timer means fresh coffee is ready when you want it, while the keep warm function holds your brew at the ideal temperature for 40 minutes after brewing, then shuts off automatically.
You'll find practical details that make daily use straightforward - a 1.4l water tank with a level gauge so you know how much you're filling, a permanent washable filter to reduce paper waste, and an electronic display that keeps you informed. The descale warning removes guesswork from maintenance, and the coffee scoop is included with your user manual. Great coffee machine all round
We bought this a few weeks as and the machine is very easy to use, makes great coffee and looks excellent.

Good but not brilliant
I bought this to match the kettle...which I lived. I didn't see the coffee maker in person I just ordered it. I am surprised at how large it is.....takes up quite a bit of space and is only a 10 cup machine. Te glass pot also has a grey lid which doesn't really match the machine and when you lift the lid to fill the water the lid does not go up high enough for you to pour all the water out of the jug......so a little bit dissapointed in the design.

Bought this having had the same model for five years previously and was very satisfied with the performance, reliability and longevity of the product. I have not been disappointed. Not just a coffee maker a work of art.
I purchased this beautiful looking coffee machine as our old one ad given up the ghost. As I pondered what to replace it with I saw the Smeg at a friends house and immediately decided my search was over. I firmly believe that the crazier the name the better the gadget ( Neff, Ototo, LouCoCo and Smeg for example). I was not wrong. This coffee machine is terrific looking and makes superb coffee without all the fuss. Unless, of course, you don’t care for decent coffee.

It’s an attractive appliance and largely works in the way we hoped it would. It makes an excellent cup of coffee. It is difficult to fill the water reservoir totally using the coffee jug and we do not know how to extend the “keeping the coffee warm” function to extend beyond 40 minutes.

I have 3 other SMEG appliances in my kitchen. Just added my fourth. Coffee filter machine, works a treat, looks the absolute business on my worktop! The only gripe I have is that I haven’t got enough worktop space for more, 🤣

The body material on this is stainless steel/plastic.
The heating plate is stainless steel.
The jug is glass.
The caraffe handle and lid are both plastic.
The base material is plastic but it's got a polished chrome colour.
The hot steam lever is zinc alloy.

This does not have a reheat function but does have:
KEEP WARM mode
The KEEP WARM mode is activated
automatically after the coffee has been
brewed and keeps the Keep Warm plate
on for 40 minutes.
In this way, the coffee will remain hot for 40
minutes after it has been brewed.

With the Smeg DCF02 50's Style Retro Drip Filter Coffee Machine White, the permanent filter allows you to prepare filter coffee without using paper filters. However, according to your own preference, a paper filter can be used instead. Place the paper filter in the filter holder and add the required amount
of coffee.
