I have used Norton for decades and it has kept my family's computers trouble-free for many years. In terms of functionality and value for money AT THIS ARGOS PRICE, it's worth 5 stars, but I dock it one star for Norton's use of annual auto-renewal at SIX times this price. Cancel the auto-renewal each year and buy a new subscription. The cancellation this year triggered an offer from Norton to renew at less than one-third of the auto-renewal price, which is still much more expensive than buying at this Argos price.

Having checked I can see this would be a new subscription with its own license key so will over run your current subscription. Effectively you would loose any remining time you have left on your current subscription once you activate the new one.

You should be able to integrate a newly purchased product key or subscription into you current Norton account and not lose your existing days.
Yes, customers are able to add independently purchased products to their existing service accounts, and to manage their subscriptions, including the option to cancel auto-renewal.
Access Norton support via your login in and they will assist you with this. So yes you have a choice it is not all or nothing, the other info is WRONG.

If you are upgrading a current Norton product to a later version, you wont have to uninstall Norton before installing the new version. This is because the installation process removes the existing version and installs the new version in its place. You must be upgrading to a similar product for Norton to install in place of your existing Norton software. For example, if you currently have Norton 360 installed, you must upgrade to the latest version of Norton 360.
