Badly designed and not as good as previous model
Bought to replace my previous Tefal which was so easy to use. Whoever designed this never tried to use it. The water level in the tank is obscured by the dark purple plastic so you can't see how full it is. Also the marker which indicates the selected temperature has been moved to immediately below the handle so you can't see the setting without using a torch. I've already burned one sweater. Who on earth thought these changes were a good idea?

Excellent iron.
This is an excellent iron. Actually it is exactly the same model which has been replaced after many years of abuse. The only real criticism I have is that the dark plastic containing the water tank is still very dark making it difficult to see the water level inside!

Fab iron with super long power cord
Fab iron, nice weight, good water reservoir, super long power cord, nice smooth hot plate. The only slight niggle is you can't wrap the cord around the bottom of the iron after it's been on as the hot plate is too close, so have to leave the cord unwrapped until it's cool. But it's only a minor thing. Definitely a good buy.

Bought this iron to replace similar ultraglide iron. Its not great cant see how much water is in the tank.doesnt seem to have strong steam and super boost non existant. Wish i had choosen different model

The Iron does not include a water cup
Hi Sharon, we can advise that the slider can be flicked to the right for an extra steam boost. However it will not stay on this setting.
Hi Luc, we can advise not to use any water other than untreated tap water in the iron. If you know you live in a hard water area the untreated tap water can be mixed 50/50 with either distilled or demineralised water but there needs to be at least a 50% concentration of untreated tap water used in order for the steam function to work properly. Our irons are specifically made to use untreated tap water. Do not use pure demineralised water, water from clothes dryers, scented or softened water, rain water, filtered, bottled or boiled water, water from refrigerators, batteries or air conditioners, pure distilled water or rain water as these may damage the iron. These types of water contain organic waste, mineral elements that become concentrated when heated and cause spitting, brown staining, leaking or premature wear on your iron.

Hi Clare, we can advise that if the iron is leaking when the iron is being filled, always set your iron to the 'No Steam' function before you start to fill it. Also, you can check the temperature that the iron thermostat dial/slider is set to as the temperature maybe too low to produce steam. The majority of our irons will only produce steam when set on the 2 dot or 3 dot setting. When you look on your iron's thermostat dial you will notice that the 2 dot and 3 dot settings have a shaded background, this indicates that the iron will produce steam when the dial is set inside this shaded area. “ It does not contain a single temp soleplate this has a thermostat control. ”

No temperature setting and it can iron all fabrics without damage. However, I have just purchased this iron and will be returning it. It is NOT a one temperature iron as stated in the description.
