Waterproofing not tested, fortunately, yet. But it fits the mattress well and, whilst I was wary of it being noisy or uncomfortable, it is neither. So, it gives peace of mind without being noticeable.

So happy it doesn't have that horrible plastic feel to it, if you know you know! It's a little loose on my sons emma mattress (single standard depth) I bought some bedding clips from amazon to secure it in place as my son is a bed jumper. Will most likely be great for a deeper mattress.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Waterproof Mattress Protector - Single:
"All Silentnight products are safe to use with a Silentnight electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly.
In regards to waterproof or plastic backed protectors, again the Silentnight is safe to use however, if there is a likelihood of an accident we do recommend the electric blanket is switched off and unplugged while in bed."

"The Silentnight Waterproof Mattress Protector in Single is 90cm Wide x190cm Long and 30cm deep. Therefore is likely not suitable for the mattress measurements given, as it would be too short in length."

I can advise that the Silentnight Waterproof Mattress Protector - Single is not a bed bug protector. Those are more specialized. This is to protect against moisture getting in to your mattress.
