Good Mower poor Customer Service
I bought this mower after quite a bit of research into the best device for my size of garden and the size of my wallet. Setting up the boundary wire took a bit of effort and adjustment, but otherwise I have been very pleased I had one problem with identifying the PIN code to set up the mower and Flymo Customer Serivice proved totally useless: offhand, unhelpful and bordering on rude. I hung up on them in the end and solved the problem myself. Overall, a very good product that requires some patience to set up, let down by poor support.

Good if you have a small, flat garden
Unfortunately I had to return this as it could not cope with the layout of my garden, flymo support were great and accepted the return no problem. Laying the boundary wire is very tedious, I had sections (slopes) that I needed to isolate, so the wire needed to zig zag across the lawn. This created a trip hazard (no matter how tight to the ground, the kids managed to catch it) The power lead is very short, so you need a power point very close to your lawn. The mower cannot cope with slopes and obstacles at all. If it detects one, it shuts off, rather than retrying in a different direction, and you cannot remotely tell it to retry. If you have a simple, flat garden with no obstacles, and a plug socket close to the lawn, then this mower can be very effective - it worked well for the small section of my lawn that it was able to cope with.

Seems to be cutting well
Set up was time consuming and hard work. Low voltage cable supplied is too short to reach over the patio to the plug and yet to find a good solution that doesn’t involve an expensive new longer cable. Otherwise it’s now set up and running and lawn looking very neat and tidy.

SIMPLY THE BEST
Just what I needed. No more leaving the grass till it’s too long you can set it to cut daily weekly or every other day or whatever works best for you. Absolutely brilliant and so easy to set up

Flymo easylife 500 go, what its like
The initial setup takes a couple of hours, once done you can then setup routine etc with blueotj smart app, One of the reasons why I chose this model. Besides price and researching different robot mowers. Thought this one suited my garden the most.

Great product (Eventually)
After receiving this product, I was a bit daunted by the setup. The manual is a little confusing describing the different wires and cables, so I kept putting off setting it up. However, I eventually watched an installation video on the internet and that helped to ease any misunderstandings. I've installed the flymo (My granddaughter named him "Fergus") at our static caravan as the lawn there is considerably larger than that at home. The boundary wire was simple to install, but if you have a large lawn, it can take a while with a lot of bending down, and the footprint of the docking station is quite large, so if you have a small lawn, a lot of it will be consumed by this. Fortunately we've an area behind the caravan where I've managed to site the docking station out of sight. Fergus makes an excellent job of the grass cut, it's fun to try to guess which direction it's going to head off in after each turn (I know - we need to get out more). Fergus seems to be able to cover the whole lawn on a single charge, but it's hard to tell as it maintains the lawn rather than cuts it, if your lawn is quite long, you need to cut it with a traditional mower before letting a robot loose. Negative points? The distance from any wall/drop is quite large - 30cms and I woulld've preferred it to be half that. Also, Fergus never follows the path of the boundary wire, so the edges can end up being a little ragged. Finally, Fergus doesn't collect the cuttings, intead it mulches them back to feed the lawn, we've had a lot more grass-cuttings tracked into the caravan since we started using Fergus, but that's not really a fault with the Flymo, more with us not getting the kids to take off their shoes when coming in. I've only given this 4 stars as I think the boundary wire should be closer to the garden features, but other than that - it's a great gadget, and one that has my neighbours talking - one has already bought one in response.

Very Robust
My previous model Flymo 1200R after several years good service finally developed a fault that couldn't be repaired. This model is very much improved, e.g. charging station now sited at high level, away from possible water damage, have used it for just over a week and I have set it to start every day (except Sat.& Sun.) at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm, It cuts when necessary for 2-hours, returns for charging also for 2-hours. But beware, you need a smart phone to program this machine.

Need to be Einstein
Well I'm sure it would work well enough. Trouble was, the instructions were so complicated that Einstein would have had trouble setting it all up. I gave up after a few hours of getting nowhere and returned it.

Amazing Robotic Lawnmower - Great for home gardens
This is an amazing portable robotic lawn mower has our gardening experience even easier. We can automate our front garden whilst we work on the back gardening using the amazing Flymo app. You have a nice LCD display operated by the Flymo app The box contains compact black/orange robotic lawnmower which looks very modern with nicely presently and easy to follow onboard keypad. The flymo has its own charging station/dock, 150metres of boundary wire and 200 nicely packaged pegs. The Flymo go 500 was easy to setup and then run by itself making very minimal noise compared to our traditional lawnmower. The Flymo cut our grass brillantly. See images attached images. We were very impressed for such a small and portable lawnmover. Highly recommended.

Great little find!
Loved this handy lawn mower. It was easy to set up with the instructions provided and the cord was helpful in manoeuvring the lawn mower away from our flower beds! Great feature to turn the grass trimmings back into fertilizer for the lawn which saves us having to constantly empty it! We don't fight over who has to mow the lawn now!!!

The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
