2 units didnt work out of the boxx
My fatmax charger failes aftee just 2 xharges .I then purxhases 2 new chargers from Argos neither worked from first plugging. Obviously Stanley have a faulty producy line and ahould recall . 3 failures out of tje box on aow. Argos were obvious to take the issue up with manufacture or compensating for massive waste of time. Both face to face and onlone service treated me like it was my fault. Wont be usong Argos or Stanley agaon

Misleading details
I needed a replacement 18 volt charger for my Stanley Fat Max cordless drill, having searched the said object it came up that Argos stock them. It promptly arrived but to my disappointment when I opened the box it was a Fatmax 20 volt with Fatmax 18 on the side of the charger and no way would my battery fit. This is not the fault of Argos this is a Stanley problem and they need to make clear it's a 20 not an 18 volt battery charger.

The Stanley Fatmax SFMCB14-GB 4Ah V20 Lithium-ion Charger - 18V is part of the V20 cordless system, which means it is specifically designed to charge Stanley Fatmax V20 batteries.
Unfortunately, V20 chargers and batteries are not compatible with the older 18V Stanley Fatmax tools and batteries including the FMC628D2K .

This charger is for the V20 range of batteries so won't charge the batteries from the FMC626.

I am afraid that it isn't possible to charge the FMC684L on the V20 charger.

No it won't. The SFMCB14 battery won't fit on the tools that use the FMC687L.
