About this product
The JML Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight gives you motion-activated outdoor lighting without wiring or running costs. Eight ultra-bright LEDs switch on automatically when someone approaches, lighting up pathways, driveways or garden corners. The solar panel charges during the day, storing energy to power the lights through the night. Simply position it where sunlight reaches the panel, and it takes care of itself with no plugs or battery changes needed.
The wide detection angle picks up movement across your outdoor space, and the detection range covers entrances and walkways effectively. The LEDs provide bright, clear light that makes it easier to see steps, gates or sheds after dark. Suitable for patios, garages or festival campsites where temporary lighting helps. The solar-powered design means you can install it anywhere without access to mains power, perfect for sheds or remote garden areas.

Love this solar light, this is the second one purchased the first one lasted quite a few years but when I collected it I asked fir a receipt, was told it would be emailed to me , I am still awaiting my receipt.

I bought this light in January 2026 and Iam impressed it serving the purpose that I bought it for.

Useless, don’t waste your money.
Absolute rubbish, waste of money, does not do what it says in the packaging or description. It glows dim and does not project any light anywhere. Motion sensor is useless as doesn’t pick up anything. I wish I’d never bought it and got one off Amazon instead; as probably would have been better and cheaper!!

JML Handy Brite 247 Lumens Solar LED Spotlight:
The spotlight is designed to look like a security camera, and part of that illusion is a flashing red LED that simulates a CCTV recording light.
This is an intentional feature built into the unit and there is no switch or setting to disable it.

It automatically turns on when the instant motion is detected nearby, and turns off again when the motion stops.

The light will stay on whilst it detects movement and will stay on for 30 seconds after the last motion is detected.

I can advise that the Handy Brite LED spotlight has a rating of IPX4. This rating offers protection against splashes of water, making them suitable for workouts or light rain. They may not be suitable for submersion though.
