About this product
The Beurer EM50 Menstrual Relax provides natural relief from menstrual and endometriosis pain. It features 15 TENS intensity levels for personal comfort. Diseases such as endometriosis are widespread and cause abdominal pain that can become debilitating. Beurer's clinically approved EM50 Menstrual Relax combines TENS technology with soothing warmth. Removing the need for medicinal pain relief, the EM50 works to stop pain signals and relax the muscles at the same time discreet enough to be worn under clothing. Recharges via USB.
Natural Pain Relief with the EM50, which effectively relieves menstrual and endometriosis pain using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).
An optional soothing warm heat function is available, which reaches 43 degree Celsius to help cramped muscles to relax.
Powered by a rechargeable battery, the TENS and heat pad are suitable for use anywhere and can sustain 6 applications from a single charge and offer 15 intensity settings.

Great for Period Pains
I have endometriosis and painful periods in general and this has been a wonderful help. It’s really quiet and discreet too so no issue with wearing it outside the house. I also recently had an appendectomy and it helped ease the pain after this too.

The Menstrual Relax is a self-adhesive TENS device with a heat function to provide pain relief for menstrual discomfort and pain caused by endometriosis.
You would therefore need to discuss using this with your GP or midwife.

The supplier has advised the following for the Beurer TENS Menstrual Relax EM50:
“ The Menstrual Relax has an automatic switch-off function. After 20 minutes of use, it automatically switches itself off.
You will need to wait at least 30 minutes between applications. We would recommend removing the device from the skin between treatments / cycles to allow the skin to breathe and to not cause sweat spots from the heating element.
We would always advise to adhere to the user instructions, and it is advised that if the heat function feels too hot, stop treatment immediately. ”

The device comes with 2 pads which apparently work for about 4 uses. You can buy replacement pads at Boots.

"Yes, the device requires the replacement gel pads in order to function correctly. The device will not work correctly if the gel pads are worn or have lost their adhesiveness."
