Poor drying
Bought this to replace a 20 year old vented tumble dryer which had given up on its heat cycle. Noting that it had a bottom left hand vent compared to the central middle vent on my old machine. Tried to fit it to the old vent outlet and found it would not fit into the units because the Hoover has a ducting that goes from the top across the centre to the bottom, this stopped the pipe from tucking in and added an extra 4” to the overall depth. So I had to drill another vent hole. I measured up so it was in line with the Hoover vent. All done and we tried the tumble dryer. Going through a few programs we found most of the time the clothes came out damp, even with the extra drying mode. We will continue to try the other programs and see if any dry the clothes completely. Not impressed so far but we’ve only had it two weeks. An edit now, apart from the clothes coming out wet the Start/Pause button seems faulty too. Returned dryer to Argos, would not recommend to anyone. Now I have to fill in the vent hole. What a waste of money on drilling and a vent kit on top of the price of the machine. Bought a condenser dryer which seems ok at the moment.

I have had this dryer a few months now but am not very happy with it, the on button is hard and sometimes needs to be pushed several times before it responds I find the programmes complicated to work out and find they don’t always dry fully therefore needs to be put on again to fully dry, sheets and duvets roll up into a ball so the middle is not dry. It is a fairly quiet dryer but do not find it very efficient as the chosen programmes do not always dry fully.
