About this product
When standard safety gates don't quite reach, this one does. The BabyDan Premier stretches from 73.5cm right up to 106.3cm, making it ideal for wider hallways and openings where typical gates fall short. It's a pressure fit design, so no drilling or screwing into your walls (the included extensions let you adjust the width to suit your space). One handed operation means you can open it while carrying a toddler on your hip, and it swings both ways for easier traffic flow.
The pressure fit system works straight from the box, with a built in indicator that shows when it's correctly fitted. Triple locking keeps it firmly shut once closed, while the one handed latch lets you push it open even when your hands are full. The 2 way opening means it swings in either direction, handy when you're juggling shopping bags or a wriggling child. At 73cm high, there's a wide walk through section that gives you plenty of room to step over the bar without tripping. Suitable for children up to 24 months.

Exactly what we wanted
Wanted a pressure gate for holiday house to keep dog and young baby separate and this works really well. Great choice of widths to fit any door and easy to adjust. Is one hand opening and security catch worked really well . Unless fixed to wall wouldn't withstand a determined toddler but we knew that.

I am so pleased with this baby gate. I bought 2 in total. We had a 83cm width at the top of our staircase, after trying 4 other brands and having to buy some with separation extenders this was hands down the best. It comes complete with the extenders, the instructions for assembly quite easy. Great price from Argos, being on an offer price so a lot better than other retailers. Mechanism to open ca be done by one hand, but does get some used too because at first it is quite stiff the handle to operate but after a few goes it is easier. Not also, to mention the safety mechanism in raising the door to open. Great feature. Overall a great product and I have had this for nearly 2 months now. I would definitely recommend and being Baby Dan, is a great brand one of the best.

Good sturdy stair gate
Very pleased with the purchase of this stair gate. Excellent quality, you can’t go wrong with BabyDan products. The only negative comment is the instructions were rather baffling until I downloaded the special app, the instructions were then very simple and installation was easy.

Easy to put together
I really wanted a pressure mounted stair gate and needed it extra long to fit a wide opening. This is perfect, I put it together myself (which says a lot because for my downstairs stair gate I had to pay a handy man to come and do it.) Overall very pleased and I would recommend.

Quality product at a reasonable price
Good quality product, requires studying the instructions and measuring up to properly install. Works where gap is narrower at the bottom than the top, e.g. thick skirting boards. Our one-year-old is still some way from being able to open or climb over it.
