About this product
The Epson XP-2205 is a compact all-in-one printer that handles printing, scanning and copying for everyday home use without taking up much desk space. It offers decent print speeds for black and colour documents, with resolution high enough for sharp text and vibrant photos. The paper tray holds enough sheets to avoid constant refills and supports A4 documents plus photo paper for borderless prints without white edges. Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct let you print from smartphones or tablets via the Epson Smart Panel app, and it's compatible with Google Cloud Print and Email Print.
Setup is straightforward with both PC and Mac, and it uses 4 individual Pineapple ink cartridges so you only replace the colour that runs out rather than the whole lot. The flatbed scanner handles A4 documents and photos, making it genuinely useful for copying and digitising paperwork. It's lightweight and compact enough to fit comfortably on a shelf or small desk without taking over. You get the printer, power cable, individual ink cartridges, setup guide, and warranty document in the box, plus photo editing software to get you started.

Epson 2200 printer
The first printer had a broken paper support so I asked for a refund. I was sent a return label almost immediately. I took the printer back to Sainsbury where there is an Argos. At the counter I changed my mind and asked for a replacement as I had bought ink cartridges which may not have fitted a different printer. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful and the replacement arrived in 2 days. GREAT Argos. PS I’m still trying to set up the Epson 2200 printer as it isn’t a plug in and go. My iMac does not recognise any driver for this printer.

The printer replaces the same one we had before.
This one replaced one we had before. I blocked the nozzles of the old one up by buying cheap printing ink. Lesson learnt!! The problem is linking the printer to our lap tops. I managed to do it for my laptop, but I am not sure how. But I couldn't do it for my partner's laptop. We are having to pay someone to come and do it for us. We are elderly and not very computer savvy. It makes life quite challenging these days. However, We were happy with the old printer, so this one should be fine if we keep using Epson printer inks.

Simple unit, app is a bit clunky
Wanted just a simple unit for printing the odd bit of paperwork. Works fine although the app is a bit clunky to use and I haven't been able to get air print to work with my apple devices which is a bit frustrating. However for the price I can't really complain.
