Better than superb!

Having sadly reduced from two elderly cats to just the one, and her being plagued by a neighbour's bengal, we (and the cat) decided it was time for her to become an 'indoor cat' again. I bought this litter by mistake (I meant to buy the clumping one). But it has proved to be BRILLIANT. It only took her a week to re-learn how to use the litter tray and this stuff is superb. There's no odour, it feels like gravel, and is super-absorbent. I was sceptical of the claims that it lasts 30 days, but it does exactly that! 1 full bag tipped in the litter tray does not need to be changed for approximately 1 month. Obviously poos need to be shovelled out with the appropriate scoop, and discarded, but there is zero smell of urine. Highly recommended.

Decent cat litter that gets the job done. Would recommend if you have no concerns about your litter. Pretty average in reducing odours but when paired with a hooded litter tray works just fine

The Ticket To Unleasing A Poonami

I changed to this cat litter recently. It looks a bit like gravel. Definitely not gravel. My cat has historically been wary of litterboxes, even if they're changed after every "event". On first contact, two short twirls, a raised tail, my Grade-A whiskered bumholio unleashed what I can only describe as an extended poonami of biblical proportions. The clouds may have parted with a beam of sunlight shining down on my feline friend. After several minutes of eye-watering bowel evacuation, and an indignant stare, I had to open the windows. Bumholio may well have been holding in his load for several years, either that, or Sanicat is the litter to end all litters.. I had to use a shovel in the end, and form a biohazard cordon for the bin. Five stars, or bumholes, just be prepared for larger than normal deposits..

Good cat litter

I was searching for a cat litter that has less dust than other well known brands which I used for many years. The dust was really awful, and after my cat was diagnosed with lung problems, I am convinced that over the years, this contributed to the problem. I tried the Sanicat Advanced Hygiene and I am very happy with it. Very minimal dust and much better for my cat who is happy too. The only problem is, it is very hard to find - well done Argos for stocking it.

Only positive I have to say about this is that it is relatively low dust. After just 7 days I had to change it as it was smelling. I have 2 cats and this would not last anywhere near 30 days. I'm aware that the 30 days may refer to a single cat, but after even 5 days the litter was looking a little questionable. When changing it the bottom of the tray was wet with a strong ammonia smell from the urine. The only non clumping litter I've found that isn't disgusting after a few days is silica which is unfortunate as clay litter is infinitely cheaper, but I suppose you get what you pay for!
