Does what it says on the tin
Dries relatively quickly, not too runny or thick

Good coverage
Excellent decking paint. Have also used on wooden planter. Appears to be more protective than standard wood paints.

It's okay but not great
Got this paint for my decking, the coverage isn't great, you have to put a lot of re coats on, it is blue when applied but dies dry black, will see how long it lasts

Great decking stain - exactly what was needed
I bought this tin of decking stain two weeks ago and received excellent service from the Argos outlet in Lowestoft, Suffolk. I clicked to pay and collect on line and was able to collect this easily from the counter which was brilliant. I have completed the painting of the decking which applied easily and the coverage was excellent- it is also non-slip although it is not advertised as such. Would highly recommend this paint for future use.

Applied 2 coats before giving up as it just looked horrible, nothing like the picture, We ended up just painting it instead

The best I've EVER used
Bought this stain for my decking, and having previously used other makes, JOHNSTONES beats them out of the park. This STUFF IS TUFF, and doesn't disappear after a couple of weeks rain, FANTASTIC PRODUCT, try it, you will not be disappointed.

I was worried when I opened it and first put it on the fence as it looked very blue/grey however once dry it is a beautiful colour. Very happy.

The supplier has advised the following for the Johnstone's Woodcare Decking Stain Paint 2.5L - Black Oak:
“ There is no reason why the decking stain cannot be used on the shed as long as its bare wood
I would make sure all sitting furniture is fully dried before use. ”
