The Birlea Otto Sofa Bed works as everyday seating and quick guest sleeping in one piece. It seats two comfortably as a sofa, then folds out into a small double bed in seconds when friends or family stay over. The grey fabric wipes clean after spills, practical for busy households. Foam filling in the fixed seats and cushions holds its shape through regular use. The fold-out mechanism needs no tools or tricky assembly, just pull forward and it's ready for sleeping.

Very poor design / Arrived damaged / Poor service
Sofa Bed was £670, unpackaged and fitted the feet and wheels, discovered frayed fabric on the pull out part of the sofa. Not good looks awful. Tried it as a bed but the back rest when lowered into bed has a metal bar with no cushioning! I would challenge anyone to lay on it for more than 5 minutes! The only solution would be to purchase an extra mattress. Not ideal. Argos offered a measly £65 compensation, of which I turned down. Suffice to say it’s going back. Please note on purchase the description stated double, it has since been updated to small double.

Our supplier has advised that the arm rests are 13cm width each. The seat is 55cm depth fully, which does not include the thickness of the back rest.
