does the job
Bought to extend wifi into living room as TV was buffering. A little fiddly to set up initially, had to use the app, but seems to be working, wired the TV box into it with ethernet cable Other wireless devices working much better in that room now. Beats paying S** an extra £5 a month...

Excellent, easy to set up and works well!
Excellent product! As long as you have a power point halfway to your WiFi deadspot this is easy to install and works well. Note that you can't plug it in where your desdspot is, as you need a certain WiFi strength to ping it onwards!

Very good, it covers the whole house.

Good, would buy again
Bought this a few months ago for a 3 floor house and has been working good so far, but connectivity really only works for the top 2 floors which is fine as we have the main broadband source on the ground floor. However, sometimes it can glitch and stop working for an hour or so, but will soon be back to normal.

Hi,
You can use two extenders together in a single network. To ensure optimal network quality, it is recommended to connect both extenders directly to the host router's Wi-Fi network instead of connecting one extender to another. Assign a different Wi-Fi name to the first extender so you can separate its Wi-Fi from your router's. The setup process for adding a second extender is the same as for the first one.
If both the router and the extenders support the EasyMesh feature, you can follow the instructions provided in this link: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/3582/...
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Chris,
TP-Link Range Extenders are broadly compatible with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including both TP-Link and non-TP-Link models like TalkTalk routers. However, please note that compatibility issues may arise with routers or gateways that use modified, outdated, or non-standard firmware. As long as your TalkTalk router uses standard Wi-Fi protocols and has up-to-date firmware, the TP-Link Range Extender should work without any problems to extend your Wi-Fi coverage.
Thanks for using Q&A.

Hello James,
I can advise the following for the TP-Link TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender:
Yes, this is possible to hardwire the extender so that you can reach areas that Wi-Fi can't pass through.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello,
Yes, the TP-Link TL-WA850RE is universally compatible and will work with your BT full fibre 150 setup. However, its technical specifications will limit the potential speed you can achieve.
Compatibility
The TP-Link TL-WA850RE is designed to be a universal Wi-Fi range extender, working with virtually any Wi-Fi router or wireless access point, including the BT Hub provided with your Full Fibre 150 service.
Connectivity: Connection can be established easily using the WPS button on both the extender and your BT Hub.
Wired Option: The extender also features a single Ethernet port, allowing you to connect a wired device (like a gaming console or TV) to your network.
Potential Issue: In some cases with older BT Hubs, users have reported issues with the "Smart Setup" feature needing to be turned off in the hub manager for a seamless connection.
Have a nice day!
Hi Richard,
The extender can connect to and extend a phone's mobile hotspot Wi-Fi. The setup process for connecting to a mobile hotspot Wi-Fi is the same as connecting to a router. However, some hotspot Wi-Fi may not be stable as phones are not specially made for sharing Wi-Fi. Moving the phone's position frequently may also influence the extender's connection.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Barnetman,
TP-Link TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender
As this device extends Wi-Fi signal, it isn't connected to the router using an ethernet cable. To connect it to your router, plug it into a mains socket near to your router, connect the device, then move the device and plug it in at the desired location.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi,
The TL-WA850RE only supports 2.4G WiFi. If your router also supports 2.4G, and the 2.4G and 5G networks are separate, then this range extender can extend your router network.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
The TL-WA850RE only supports 2.4G networks, so please make sure your router supports separate 2.4G WiFi.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Trac,
