Can I specify a delivery date when ordering?

Yes, for most items you'll be able to select a preferred delivery date when placing your order. If, for any reason, we can't offer you a choice of delivery dates to pick from when ordering online, we'll call you to arrange a delivery date as soon as the goods are ready to be dispatched.

Depending on your order, someone may need to be present at the time of delivery to sign for the items but you can specify a delivery address different from your home or main contact address, if more convenient. Some orders can be left in a safe place. If so, we'll let you know during the checkout process and you'll be able to provide some special delivery instructions.

How do I know if my order has been received?

When we receive your order, an Order Acknowledgement screen will be generated, issuing an order reference number. Please print out this page for future reference. You'll also receive an email confirming that we have received your order details.

Can I add to an existing order?

You can add items to your order until you confirm your payment details and complete the order. Once the
order is confirmed, you can't add items to the same order. If you’d like to order additional items, please
place a new order.

When will my order be delivered?

An estimated delivery lead time is shown next to each product on this website. This is updated on a daily
basis to reflect the latest stock situation. Although they may differ from the catalogue, the delivery lead times quoted on this website are the most up-to-date and will be the same if you order by telephone or at any Argos store.

For most items, you'll be offered a list of delivery dates and times to choose from when placing your order. If, for any reason, we can't offer you a list of delivery dates to pick from, we'll contact you to arrange a delivery date as soon as your goods are ready to be dispatched.

Do I have to be there to sign for delivery?

Most deliveries require someone to be present to accept and sign for the delivery. This is simply to ensure the goods were delivered and received correctly. If you can’t be there to sign for delivery and your order qualifies, you may be able to provide special delivery instructions during the checkout process for our drivers to leave the item(s) with a neighbour or in some other safe place. Otherwise, remember that you can specify a different delivery address while ordering and have your order delivered to your workplace, or a friend's place, etc. See Home delivery for more details.

Can you collect old appliances when delivering new ones?

For a small charge, we'll take away your old appliance when delivering your new one so you don't have the hassle of taking it to the local skip or recycling depot. Our Collection service is only offered through the home delivery service on the purchase of new large domestic appliances and selected TVs (see individual product pages for availability). Can I return a product, exchange it or get a refund?

Can I place an order from overseas?

Yes. Customers from abroad can both register and place an order, as long as the order is for delivery in the UK and Northern Ireland (excluding BFPO addresses).

Are receipts sent with deliveries?

The receipt is the address label on the parcel. You will need this in case you wish to return goods.

How can I get a V.A.T. receipt?

We can send you a V.A.T. receipt for the product(s) you have purchased. In order to receive such a receipt, please Email customer services, including your order number and we'll be more than happy to deal with your request.

I have qualified for a free Argos voucher when placing an order - when should I expect to receive it?

If you placed an order on Argos.co.uk between 19th March and 24th March, you may have qualified to receive a free Argos gift voucher.

  • If you spent £50.00 - £99.99 in a single transaction (excluding delivery charges), you have qualified to receive a FREE £5 Argos gift card or a £5 online promotional voucher
    OR
  • If you spent £100 or more in a single transaction (excluding delivery charges), you have qualified to receive a FREE £10 Argos gift voucher or a £10 online promotional voucher

If you have ordered for home delivery, your will receive a promotional voucher code instead of an Argos gift card. This promotional code will be sent to you in your order confirmation email and can only be redeemed online. If you have reserved items for store pick up, you will receive an Argos gift card in-store when you pay for the items (you must collect your items between 19th March and 24th March 2008 to qualify for this offer).

Argos gift cards are redeemable in any Argos store until 27th May 2008.

Argos online promotional voucher codes are redeemable online until 27th May 2008.

Can I order for home delivery and make a reservation at the same time?

Once you've found the products you were looking for and have added them to your trolley, you'll be given the choice of ordering for home delivery or reserving for store pick-up. If you'd like some items to be delivered and some others to be reserved for you in-store, please do so by placing two different orders, selecting the relevant service for each.

How can I check latest prices?

We're always lowering our catalogue prices and running special offers. With so many great deals, you might find that many items are cheaper than you thought! Luckily, Argos.co.uk always has the latest prices. Wherever you see a price advertised on this website, you can be sure it is the latest price available. Alternatively, there's now a fast and easy way to check product prices using our Price & stock checker located at the top of your screen. Simply enter the catalogue number you're looking for and we'll provide you with the latest price available.

Please note that prices can change on a daily basis. If you reserve an item for store pick up using our Check & Reserve service, the price you pay is the price in-store on the day you collect & pay for the item.

How can I check stock at a store or for home delivery?

We'll check stock for all items once you proceed to the checkout. Alternatively, you can check stock before you add items to your trolley - just enter the catalogue number and your postcode in our Price & stock checker and we'll confirm stock availability for home delivery and store pick up at your local store. If you wanted to order an item for home delivery but found it was out of stock, you can provide us with your email address and we'll let you know when the product is back in stock.You can also use your mobile phone to check stock at your local store. How can I pay for my purchases?

You can pay for your purchases online using most major credit or debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa Credit Card, Visa Debit Card, Visa Electron, Maestro, Solo, American Express, Style, your Argos Card or Credit charge (Argos Personal Account Card). We do not accept Corporate Link cards at present.

Your credit card details will be encrypted to help keep them secure. Can I take advantage of the various Argos credit deals when shopping online?

Yes you can. Once you've added all the products you were looking for to your trolley, you'll be given a choice of all the plans that are available for your order.
