Good bar pressure is essential for making a good crema*. The steam is forced through the coffee granules at the correct speed. Look for a pressure of 15 – 19 bar for the best results.

ESE Pod

An Easy Serving Espresso (ESE) Pod is a small packed coffee disk with a paper filter covering. Each pod contains 7g of coffee compressed into a filter package. The pod is placed within a pod adapter in a normal espresso machine or inside the brewing chamber of a pod brewer.
