Customer reviews and ratings

Tefal FV5370 Aquaspeed Steam Iron. 4.6 5 100 108
Great iron Great iron: long power lead; good steaming power; heats up fast. Needs filling about every 20 mins depending on steam setting selected but easy to fill. Happy with this purchase. 15 April 2014
Disappointed I had looked at reviews and thought that this iron was going to perform well, it doesn't. Its very expensive but performs like an iron half it's price. When using it, it is easy to knock the heat selection control. I should have stuck with my original brand, Bosch! 01 April 2014
this product has it all I bought this Steam Iron to replace my old Tefal iron and have not been disappointed. I just love the longer flex to. The only downside is it runs out of water a bit quicker and needs to be topped up a bit more often than my last iron. I bought this item in the sale, but would have gladly paid the full price. wee bonus 19 March 2014
the reviews helped! This is an excellent product, I am thrilled with it. Having read the reviews, I knew to expect it to be a little heavy, which it is for le, and no jug. But tue syeam is excellent and heats very quickly. The framrwork arpund base ensures it is very stable when stood on its end. 05 March 2014
Fantastic Light enough so that you do not get a tired arm. Steam is great makes a real good job of shirts. Steam button in good position under the front of the handle, I always found it hard when the button for steam was on the top, my thumb was just a wee bit short to make a good job of steam spray. Holds plenty of water, clear mark for max. 04 March 2014

Answer:
Hello Magpie,

Having looked in the user manual for the Tefal FV5370 Aquaspeed Steam Iron, I can advise that this product has been designed to function with untreated tap water. It is advised not to use softened water, as this can cause spitting, brown staining, or premature wear of the product.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
Hi Angie.

I have looked in the user instructions for the Tefal FV5370 Aquaspeed Steam Iron and can advise that it has been designed to function using untreated tap water. However, you will need to use the self-clean function regularly, to eliminate hard water deposits. If you live in a very hard water area, it is possible to mix tap water with distilled or demineralised water, in a 50:50 ratio.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
