Choosing the right sofa or chair

Available in a wide range of designs and sizes, all our sofas offer a fantastic combination of comfort and style.  Whatever your style, this guide will help you find the right one for you.

Choose your sofa

When it comes to choosing a sofa, we have a range of shapes to choose from.

Corner sofas let you make the most of your space. Supplied in several different parts for easy delivery, they come in a choice of left hand or right hand options.

Modular sofas come in sections that you can arrange and link together in any combination, letting you create your own individual look.

Recliners give you the ultimate in comfort, letting you stretch out and relax. Supplied in separate parts for easy delivery, our recliners are easy to assemble with a little help from a friend.

Sofa beds combine a comfy place to sit with a handy extra bed, making them a great way to save space.

Get comfy

Whether you’re looking for really supportive cushions or an extra large sofa you can sink into, it's easy to find the right one for you.

  • Foam cushions give a firm feel and offer good support. They recover their shape well, making them a great low-maintenance choice
  • Fibre cushions give a soft, comfortable look and feel. Plump them up every day to help them keep their shape
  • Feather filled cushions offer superior softness and comfort, but need more looking after than foam and fibre-filled cushions
  • Pocket sprung means the sofa will keep its shape well, with a softer seat than a foam sofa.
  • Extra large sofas are wider than average (over 215cm) so you can stretch out and relax
  • Extra deep sofas have a depth of over 95cm from front to back – offering the ultimate in comfort.

Leather sofas

High quality, natural and hard wearing, leather looks great and is really easy to care for - making it ideal for any living room. Look out for our Italian leather sofas and armchairs for the ultimate in quality and luxury.

  • Semi-aniline is soft, natural-looking leather. It has subtle variations in shade, giving your furniture added depth and character.
  • Corrected top grain leather is lightly treated and has a slightly thicker surface, making it extremely hardwearing and longer-lasting, with no blemishes.
  • Split leather isn’t as thick, so it’s used in non-wearing areas like the back and sides of sofas.
  • Bi-cast leather is heavily coated, giving you a high gloss finish for a sleek modern look.
  • Leather effect means the sofa is finished with a man-made material that gives a leather look and feel at a great value price.

As you browse our range of leather sofas and chairs, you’ll notice we’ve graded the kind of leather they’re made from.
