Our furniture is easy to assemble, just follow these few simple guidelines to make sure building it is easy.

Do the reading: It might sound obvious but always read the instructions before assembling furniture. All our instructions are written in English, with clear diagrams and a step-by-step guide to assembling your new furniture.

Make space: The best place to build your item is where you plan to position it, but make sure there's plenty of space to move around any large parts.

Ask for help: Assembling larger furniture, such as dining tables, is usually much easier with two people. So save on stress and ask a friend to give you a hand. Take a look at the product information to see how many people you'll need for assembly.
Stability: Our furniture is built to last but be realistic about the size and weight of items you want to store. This is especially important when buying TV stands and bookshelves – simply check the weight recommendations for each product.

Caring for your furniture

Make your furniture last for longer with our easy-to-follow care advice that covers a wide range of materials. It's also a good idea to avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight if possible.

Glass and acrylic furniture: Use glass cleaner or soapy water to make sure you get shine without any stains.

Chrome and metal furniture: Chrome and metal furniture is easy to maintain with a dry or slightly dampened cloth. If you need to clean it properly, use a sponge and a mild detergent such as washing up liquid. Wipe dry chrome or metal furniture with a towel or paper cloth for a spotless finish.

Fabric and leather sofas and chairs: Use a slightly damp cloth for cleaning leather and leather effect furniture. Regularly treat leather sofas and chairs using specialist leather care products to help maintain suppleness and make them last longer. You should also protect both leather and leather effect sofas from excessive heat and keep them out of direct sunlight.

Treat spills on fabrics straight away with a warm damp cloth, or cotton fabric can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Don't saturate the area, but gently wipe in a circular motion (never rub or scrub), then pat the area dry with a soft cloth. Minor staining can be removed with a dry foam cleaner (try it on a hidden area first to make sure it doesn't make more stains), but don't wash or wipe it with detergent or water.

Wooden furniture: Wooden furniture with a hard lacquer or waxy finish can simply be dusted with a dry, soft cloth.

Natural light affects the colour of both wood and real wood finish furniture. Regularly moving or turning furniture that sits in direct sunlight will help reduce discolouration and ageing. You should also avoid placing wooden furniture near fires, radiators and air conditioners to prevent warping.

Whatever material your furniture is made from, we recommend that you don't lift and drag it. An extra pair of hands will make it easier for you, as well as reduce any risk of weakening its joints.
