Your guide to multi-plays

Multi-plays encourage varied, active play that is good for your child’s physical development, as well as being great fun.

Multi-plays come in a range of sizes and materials, to suit every garden and budget. Whichever you choose they’re all sturdy, safe and built to last.

Age suitability

Multi-plays come with a recommendation for age suitability. Your child will benefit from a toy that will stimulate them as they grow. However, young children should always be supervised by an adult when using these toys or playing in a group situation in the garden.

Maximum user weight

Each toy comes with a maximum user weight and this is important to ensure your child’s safety and the toy’s longevity.

Situating your multi-play

When choosing your multi-play, and where in the garden it will be situated, it’s advisable to consider the following:

  • Ensure you have enough space to allow plenty of room around the structure for safe, comfortable play.
  • Make sure there are no hard surfaces or objects which children could bump into when playing or running around the multi-play.
  • Situate your multi-play away from trees and other obstacles.

Wooden play sets

If you’re thinking of purchasing a wooden play set, look out for the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) logo on products made from or containing wood.

The FSC:

  • Promote responsible forest management.
  • Require forests to be managed in an environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economical manner.

For peace of mind, all wooden multi-plays come with a manufacturer's guarantee against rot.
