Value for money Blu-ray.
Good blue ray/dvd player. Integrated really well with my 5:1 amp and HD tv. Have recorded from the HD tv channels and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of picture and sound. Easy to use with some really nice features making it a joy to use. Would recommend.

In a word "frustrating"
I bought this machine as replacement for an aging Humax. Picture quality is good but the information screens are appalling. The program guide and information screens are very poorly presented with very small WHITE print on a variable BLUE background. I sit about 4 metres from a 48" tv (Panasonic) and it is very difficult to read. The individual program information screen is pathetic with about 75% blank screen as shown in the photo. Why can't Panasonic use the full screen with much larger easier to read text? Should be corrected with a software update. I've only used the DVD player a few times but the sound reproduction is pretty poor and I;ve had to turn up the volume to 65-70. Its not a fault of the discs as I've played them on other equipment with no problem. Other comments have been made on the archaic navigation program guide which I have to endorse. Its get to a point where you either forget what you're looking for or simply give up. Two further points. Button layout on the remote control could be better in particular deleting a recorded program should be easier and why is there no MUTE button?? And are quick access buttons for Netflix and ?Play really necessary? All in all poor design of remote control. I've bought many Panasonic products in the past and always had confidence that I was getting a well designed product but I'll think long an hard in the future on anything Panasonic and I definitely would not buy another recorder/player. I gave this one star because that's the lowest score.

Yorkie
Hi Yorkie, it's most likely to be the TV. Check your sound settings for an AVL, automatic volume level or similar and ensure it switched on. If that doesn't help ensure the player isn't set to output 7.1 or 5.1 audio since the TV is only stereo. Thanks for using Argos Q+A.
