About this product
This rotary airer makes drying your washing outdoors simple and flexible, with a crank handle that lets you adjust the height to suit you. You can load it up at a comfortable level and hoist it higher to catch the breeze, so there's no awkward stretching or bending. It gives you 60m of drying space, which is plenty for busy households, and the steel construction is fully painted to resist rust and last through seasons of use. When you're done, you can lift it out of the ground socket and free up your garden space.
The ground socket needs setting into the ground with concrete to keep everything stable when the airer's up and loaded. There's a steel central pole that's 50mm across, and the whole thing weighs 7.5kg. The turning circle when it's fully open is 2.96m, so you'll need a bit of room, but it's worth it for the drying capacity. Instructions come with it, and there's a five-year guarantee from the manufacturer. It's a practical, long-lasting way to dry clothes outside without taking over your garden permanently.

Fantastic
I bought this to replace my old one. I love the amount of washing it holds, it is sturdy but light enough to put away after use. It stands in the ground spike I already have that is cemented into the ground. So easy to turn the handle to lift the washing high above the fences.

Really sturdy, large rotary washing line. Hoist is great to allow washing to be up higher for longer sheets etc. spins brilliantly locked into the ground spike.

The height of the highest washing line when fully raised is 206cm, the lowest line is 187cm. Washing can be loaded easily at 175cm before raising the hoist into the breeze.

The Vileda 60 Metre Super Dry Hoist Rotary Airer has a steel pole, bear in mind this will not be solid steel as it contains the raising and lowering mechanism.

The height of the lowest line when fully raised is 187cm. The crank handle can be turned to lower the line allowing it to be easier to hang clothes at a lower height and then heighten the line for drying.
