Disappointed in this educational toy
I purchased this globe for my grandson's 6th birthday. The concept is excellent, but I have 2 criticisms. The screen is too small in comparison to other hi tec toys available to children. Secondly, the globe itself doesn't define the countrys clearly enough.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for LeapFrog Magic Adventures Globe:
Our recommendation is that customers uses regular alkaline batteries, if they choose to use batteries. However, rechargeable Ni-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride) can be used, but they should not mix Ni-MH batteries with Alkaline (or any other type of) batteries.
As for the mAH capacity, a high capacity battery like a 3000 mAh would be fine. For reference, a regular alkaline battery, like a Duracell Plus battery, has a 2900 mAh capacity, and this is a type of battery which works well with our products.
The customer also has the option of skipping batteries all together, and can power the Globe using an adaptor. For reference, a compatible adaptor should follow this specification: Input: ~ 230VAC, 50Hz Output: DC 5V, 1.5A, 7.5VA or DC 5V, 1A, 5VA (Micro USB).”

It is important that you use a PC or a Mac computer to download the Connect application to activate this product.
The minimum specifications required in order to run the LeapFrog Connect Application (this information can also be found on the side of the packaging) PC Specification: Pentium 4 or Equivalent (2 GHz processor or faster recommended) Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 Operating System with latest service pack High-speed internet connection Monitor Resolution 1024 x 768 Available USB port 512MB of RAM (1GB Recommended) 500MB free disk space Latest Version of Adobe Flash Player.
Mac Specification: Intel-based Apple Computer(1GHz processor or faster recommended) MAC OS X 10.5+ Operating System High Speed internet connection Monitor Resolution 1024 x 768 Available USB port 512MB of RAM (1GB Recommended) 500MB free disk space Latest Version of Adobe Flash Player.
