About this product
The Vax Platinum Smartwash is a proper deep cleaning carpet cleaner that takes the effort out of getting carpets properly clean. Motion Sense Technology does the thinking for you, automatically washing as you push forwards and drying as you pull back, with no trigger to hold down. It dispenses the right amount of solution and water as you go, and there's a dedicated Dry Only mode that gets carpets dry in around an hour. At 8.6kg it's solid but manageable, and the 9m cord gives you decent reach without constantly switching sockets.
The Flexforce Brushbars have flexible bristles that work deep into carpet fibres to lift stains, dirt and grime, and the edge-to-edge design means you won't miss bits along skirting boards. The clean water tank holds 3.5l and the dirty tank 1.9l, letting you clean several rooms before refilling or emptying. It works on carpets, stairs and upholstery, and includes a 2.5m hose, 2-in-1 Antimicrobial Tool, Spinscrub Hand Tool, accessory bag, 500ml Vax Platinum Antibacterial Solution, and 250ml Pre-Treatment Solution. There's a safety cut-out when full, a carry handle, and it cleans spills as well as deep dirt.

Absolutely amazing
Probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought. It works great, lifts dirt and doesn’t leave the carpet soaking. If you’re considering buying then honestly just do it because you won’t be disappointed

Easy to Use
Used it for first time today and it’s a wonderful piece of kit. Straightforward to assemble and was very easy to use. Only one issue so far is that if you leave it switched off and standing upright on the carpet you’ve just cleaned a small amount of dirty water leaks back onto the carpet.

Brilliant results
Used it on 2 carpets with excellent results, also used it on two tub chairs and was astonished at the colour of the water. They now look brilliant

Vax smartwash
Really good machine made a massive difference to my carpet and sofa the amount of dirt it got out was shocking. It’s quite heavy to lift upstairs if the tanks still full so make sure to empty it. Simple to put together and use the attachments. Only thing while using it’s started flashing wash dry but unsure if this was because I was going quiet fast over them. Won’t be using shake n vac over the carpets again this machine was clogged with it. It’s really easy to disassemble and wash after use. Also make sure to order the large 4l solutions as the one what comes with the machine is enough to go over one room and not a full house of carpets apart from that really good and happy with the results.

Excellent Carpet Cleaner
Bought this to replace my previous Vax carpet washer, which I loved but which had a broken motor. I upgraded the model a bit and I love this one - better in all the areas I hoped for.

Worth the upgrade from previous vax spincrub
Excellent carpet cleaner – very impressed I’m really pleased with my Vax Platinum SmartWash. It’s a big improvement over my previous carpet cleaner and has done an excellent job of bringing my carpets back to life. It’s easy to use, feels well made and does a great job of removing dirt and stains. I particularly like how straightforward it is to use without having to keep stopping to work out what setting to use. The carpets have come up really well and look noticeably cleaner and fresher. I’m very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend the Vax Platinum to anyone looking for a good-quality carpet cleaner.

Hello Sanj
Vax Platinum Smartwash Upright Carpet Cleaner
While Vax does not explicitly state that hair never gets tangled, user guides and product descriptions emphasize that the brush bars are quick and simple to access and clean, which suggests that if hair or fibres do wrap around them, you can remove and clean the bars easily. This is common for most carpet cleaners, especially in homes with pets or long hair
