Immersive experience
I have seen these for a while now and having a lot of other Hue products at home, this was an obvious addition to my home entertainment set up. It takes a little work to get the brightness and mode right, but worth the effort. If your tv is in the corner of the room, the results aren't quite as you would expect as the light will reflect off the wall differently, so suggest this is best used when the tv is flat against the wall (tv does not have to be mounted for this to work well in this situe). In summary - it's great but with the need for the HDMI Sync Box, it is an expensive addition, but if you want to splash out - I'd say do it!

Great features when it work.
I bought the graduate 55 inch lightstrip in February, it went faulty in August. Argos exchanged it, now three week later this one has now gone faulty. Will be going back to Argos again for another replacement. Light strip looks nice when it works with films.

Pricey But Very Good
These are a bit pricey but the quality is very good and the colours are fantasitc, paired with the Hue Sync Box the light strip is very responsive. You can use these without the Hue Sync box. Set up was easy and it waas easy and quick to install the strip on to the back of the Tv with everything you need in the box! One thing to remember is when putting this srop on your TV make sure you install them the right way, looking at the back of the TV the power cable should be on the right hand side. I'd also like to memtion that these say 55 inch, my TV is 50 inch and these fitted perfectly. Overall a great buy.

Great responsive backlight
Bought this a few weeks ago and love it. It creates a great backlight for the TV, adding some extra ambiance to the living room. Also works great with the hdmi sync box if you want your backlights to respond to what is on the screen (e.g. for an action film) for an immersive experience. Although this is meant for a 55 inch tv, it works fine for my 50 inch on - just make sure you put it a bit closer to the edge of the screen (than the instructions recommend) to avoid the lights hanging from the bottom of the screen. 10/10 recommend

Better than Expected

Much too expensive.
Much too expensive for the effects It produces when you can buy the Philips TV with the lights built-in, so not having to buy he Sync box. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Amazing but expensive
Easy to fit took about ten minutes being very careful, added to hue sync box easy enough and what a light show, if you love movies as we do it's worth the money if you get the sync box beware of cheap imitations do your research as I did

necessity light for large screen tv
if your a fan of ambient lighting then this is great.. easy to install ( with a friend) as you have to remove the tv in my case.. ..this is where a swivel arm mount would be great. used with the hue sync box this light brings your films to life.

Apologies, this requires the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box and Hue Bridge (sold separately) to allow it to work. As the Sync box isn't 2.1 HDMI compatible you won't be able to utilise the full capabilities of the PS5.

The whole strip of the Philips Hue Play 55 Inch Indoor Gradient Lightstrip doesn't have removable backing, but the clips are what attach to the TV. These are smaller sticky pads and will provide less damage, if at all, when removed.

You could use this on a 50 inch as the strip goes around two thirds down the sides on a 55

Hi there, you will need a hue bridge and a hue sync box.
Hi you would need a hue hub and sync box or the pc version of sync box for the strip to work and maybe a hdmi splitter box depending on your setup hope it helps
