Great cleaning power and so lightweight.
OMG this cleaner is amazing, my beige carpets have come up like new. I had a different brand which was so heavy and no where near as good as this. Thank you Shark.

Very pleased
Really happy with my purchase. Only used it twice but I'm impressed with the extraction as my carpet looks very clean now. The brushroll lifts the carpet pile and on the express clean, the suction is strong and drying time is around an hour. Lightweight and easy to use and to clean after use. The dirty water tank cuts off when the maximum fill line is reached but there's still plenty of water/shampoo left in the clean water tank so not forever filling up. A little noisy maybe but no more than expected. No stair tool, great for my little bungalow though.

Affordable carpet cleaner.
I have given this 4 stars because the major issue I have with this is the waste collection tank - it looks massive and that it will hold a lot so you can get on with cleaning, but it literally holds a very tiny amount meaning you are constantly having to stop to empty it. Why have such a huge tank if only an 8th can be filled. Having said all that - it is very easy to use. You fill up the water tank and top up with the concentrate formula, and then off you go. It’s lightweight to push and pull (which you need to do a lot) and it has good suction leaving the carpet feeling slightly damp and definitely drying within an hour or two. Cleaning the machine afterwards is so much easier than other brands that I’ve used in the past. The waste tank has a hair collection pot to stop things clogging up. The access to the brush is so easy and the brush pulls out - no tools needed. So if you do get any clogs or residue it’s easy to clean and sort out. Personally I have the carpets a good hoover with a shark vacuum cleaner of course, so let hair would cause an issue (we have a dog). All in all it’s a great purchase for what we need it for - just wish it held more waste in the tank for less emptying.

Good so far!
Only used the once so far so will be good to see how long it stays clean for. Used the deep clean function for the first clean with plans to keep up on cleaning with the other function. Suction was good and the carpet didn't feel too wet afterwards. You can see when the majority of the liquid has been sucked back up. The handle and trigger are places nicely. Easy to set up and start. It's manoeuvrability is very forwards/backwards but that's what it needs as not a regular vacuum. Not too heavy. Would be good if there were some tabs to wrap the electric cord around when finished but not a major issue. The spray and extraction seems consistent.

Love it!!!
Really love this carpet cleaner. So much lighter than the Vax I had previously. Easy to use and so much easier to clean. The only quibble I have is that you have to empty the dirty tank quite quickly but not a major concern. Overall love it!

The Shark CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner can be used as often as needed, depending on your carpet’s condition. For regular maintenance, Express Clean mode is perfect for quick refreshes, even weekly. Deep Clean mode is ideal for more thorough cleaning, which many use every few months or as needed for heavily soiled areas.
Yes, you can clean stair carpets with your Shark CarpetForce. Simply fill the CarpetForce tank with water and Shark Cleaning Solution, then squeeze the spray trigger while moving forward and release it when pulling back to extract the water for effective cleaning.

The CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner has two modes: Deep Clean for a more thorough wash and Express Clean for a quicker refresh with faster drying times. To reduce dampness, we recommend using Express Clean and making a few extra suction-only passes by releasing the trigger. Opening windows or using a fan can also help speed up drying.
The Shark CarpetForce has been designed to be easy to maintain. The brush-roll is removable, making it easy to access for cleaning and maintenance. We recommend regularly removing any hair, fibres or debris that may become wrapped around the brush-roll to help keep your machine performing at its best. The machine should be cleaned after each cleaning session to help prevent mould, mildew and odours from building up. Components should be washed with soap and water and allowed to air dry, however no parts are dishwasher safe. For safety, the machine should always be switched off and unplugged before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance.
The base of the Shark CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner measures 26.4cm wide (10.39 inches). We recommend checking this measurement against the narrowest spaces you intend to clean to ensure the floorhead will fit comfortably.
Hello there,

Thanks for using Q&A.
Drying times can vary depending on the carpet and room conditions, but using the Shark Express Clean mode, making extra suction-only passes, and increasing airflow can help carpets dry more quickly.
Yes, the CarpetForce is designed to deep-clean carpets and rugs using its rotating brush-roll, cleaning solution and suction to scrub carpet fibres and extract dirty water. We recommend checking your carpet manufacturer’s care instructions before use. Only use Shark cleaning solutions specifically designed for the CarpetForce, as other solutions may damage the unit and invalidate the warranty.
Yes, this item is the EX500UK.
Drying times for the CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner can vary from around an hour to several hours. This depends on factors such as the cleaning mode selected, carpet thickness, room humidity, and how much solution is applied during cleaning. For the quickest drying results, we recommend using Express Clean mode, making additional suction-only passes by releasing the trigger, and improving airflow in the room by opening windows or doors where possible.
