Does the job
We purchased this monitor to help my deaf husband keep tabs on our puppy when in his room. It does work and on top volume even my husband can hear it. The only issue really is the rechargeable batteries take FOREVER to charge up and it emits an annoying bleep while charging. We ended up putting in ordinary batteries so it would work for the next day. Not the end of the world but a tad annoying in this day and age. Hence the 4 stars. However, that said it is good value for money especially as we got 20% off the price. Happy with it for the purpose we bought it for.

Brilliant Monitor
We bought this baby monitor to use with our dog after moving from a bungalow to a house as we cannot carry him upstairs and his legs won't carry him. He is elderly and at night-time we don't always hear him letting us know when he needs to go out. The monitor is the perfect solution. It is excellent value and we can hear him very clearly. It picks up even the slightest sound so it is reassuring to be able to hear our dog snoring. We would definitely recommend this monitor but wish that we'd bought a 2-way one so that our dog could hear us talking to him too.

No frills, cheap, but works a treat.
Was useful the first night it was used when our 92 year old relative called out for help during the night. This is a useful, no frills monitor at a good price and has very clear sound.

Highly recommend for back to basics
Glad we went back to basics with a monitor! No WiFi/cameras etc to rely on which is great. Good range even inside/outside and battery lasts well when unplugged and mobile.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vtech DM1111 Audio Baby Monitor: The VTech DM1111 audio monitor is powered via the mains, you do have the option to operate with batteries in order to enable you to move more freely around the house, batteries are not included with this product.
In order to operate with batteries, you will need 2 x AAA batteries.
