Pain-free hair removal
Supersucker, this Dyson is great for picking up all the animal hair. I have a German shepherd who constantly sheds and three black catss. Using the extension needs a bit of muscle power but overall really happy with it.
Super easy to assemble and lifts the carpet pile very well.
Great product easy to use and quality from dysentery as always
I can confirm that the Dyson Ball Animal 2 runs on 600 W.
The measurement is on the amount of power (electricity) used and does not denote how efficient the cleaner is at vacuuming.
If you are looking for something with higher wattage, you may want to consider this at 750W:
or this at 700W:

This is pretty powerful still but compared, say, to the DC25 it is deficient in other areas ( eg. stability, manoeuvrability, excess weight and ease of use) . I've had 4 Dysons over the years - DC05, DC08, DC 25 and overall this is the most disappointing. I'd hesitate before recommending it to anyone. Frankly I think Dyson are overengineering their products these days, and quality control is not what it once was. I might go for Shark or GRam next time, though the one big plus is Dyson's 5.year guarantee.

Hello, It's Danny from Dyson.
While our machines are designed to work on carpets and hard floors and this machine would work without any issues, we do have other machines available that may be better suited if you have a large area of wooden floors. If you have any other questions let us know.

In a phrase.....not much. Like all Dysons with brush bars it is optimised for carpet/carpet tile cleaning - which it does very well. But for lino or wooden floors a simple old Henry is just as good if not better. This Dyson model is, in my view, over-engineered, far too heavy and with an extension cord a mile long which is time consuming to tie/untie. I bought it to replace my old Dyson DC25 and it is definitely inferior to that model. Get something else cheaper and simpler or your wooden floors !

My hair is about 12” long and falls at the normal rate. I've never noticed it to be a serious problem with any vacuum cleaner I've used. Although they all needed the brushes cleared every few months, of whatever they'd picked up. A pair of sharp scissors aids in that nasty job. I bought it to deal with my King Charles Cavalier’s fur which was a huge problem for my previous (brand new) vacuum. Actually stopped it functioning every few minutes until it was unblocked. It still left a furry sheen all over the carpet and she was only a pup. Full grown now and cleaning is straightforward with my animal 2. I had sworn never to buy another Dyson due to price but we were desperate.
