Thank you for using Argos Q&A
I can see you have been busily looking at all our listings for binoculars, and again, we appear to have listed these as zoom when they are not.
I will ask our website team to correct this.
Thanks for contacting Argos Q&A
The 8x21 could be used for Star Gazing, but would not be ideal as they are compact, pocket binoculars so have small objective lenses of 21mm, so do not allow enough light and magnification is only 8x.
For Star Gazing you would need an objective lens of at least 40mm - the bigger the better to let in more light and give a brighter image.
We would suggest the Olympus 8-16x40 - http://www.argos.co.uk/product/8654111...
These are zoom binoculars and offer a magnification from 8x (easier to locate star etc) to 16x (once located zoom in to enlarge image) and have a 40mm Objective lens to give a brighter image.
Hope this helps!
This will depend on the type of glasses and the size of the lenses and frames, the lens cups are 'twist up' so can be turned down to assist with eye relief.
