About this product
Automatically purifies a whole room and cools you. With 3 intelligent sensors, it automatically detects particles and gases in your room1, then diagnoses and reports them on the LCD screen in real time. The fully-sealed 360 filter system combines an activated carbon filter to remove gases, and a glass HEPA filter that captures 99.95% of microscopic allergens and pollutants.2 Using Air Multiplier™ technology, the machine projects over 290 litres of smooth, purified air per second for whole-room purification.
With a choice of focused and oscillation modes, up to 350, it mixes and circulates the air to cool you – wherever you want3.
Monitor and control your machine, wherever you are with the Dyson Link app. It gives you real-time reports on indoor and outdoor air quality, temperature, humidity and filter life.3.
Auto mode maintains air quality and temperature, so you don't have to. You can continue your daily activities, while your purifier automatically monitors and reacts. The machine will continue to remove pollutants and maintain your target temperature.

Hi there it's Shaney at Dyson,
Night mode can be put on by pressing the crescent moon on the remote.
This is Stuart from Dyson. The fan will need to be active in order for the machine to circulate and clean the air. If you don't want the air to be blown towards you, this model does have a diffuse mode allowing you to have the air blown behind it.
Hi there, it's Shannon at Dyson. You can position the machine anywhere in the room for efficient purification. Due to our Air Multiplier™ technology, the machine will draw air in and release the clean air at an increased airflow rate, circulating the air in the room. It will purify any room, however the larger the room (and the more pollutants present) the longer this will take. If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Hi there it's Shaney at Dyson,
I can confirm that this machine will be suitable for use in a nail bar. Our purifiers do remove chemical smells as well as pollutants such as VOC's caused by nail varnish.
Hi there, this is Stuart from Dyson.
To confirm, the air being expelled from the machine is not cooler than the rest of the air in the room. The cooling effect from the fan occurs as speed of the air flow from the machine comes into contact with your skin. This is the same as any conventional fan. Where ours differs is by providing a smooth and constant airflow, whereas bladed fans will buffet producing interrupted airflow.
Hi there, it's Sophie at Dyson.
The purifier will purify particles in the air, however, it wouldn't remove smells from walls, carpets or furniture unfortunately.
Hi there it's Sophie from Dyson. Our Air Multiplier products cool you rather than the room. They are not air conditioning units as they do not have a cooling element nor do they reduce air temperature.

Hi, it's Beth at Dyson. The input power for the Dyson Pure Cool Desk is 6 watts in minimum power and 40 watts in maximum power. In regards to the running cost of the machine, we would advise speaking to your energy provider.
Hi there, it's Sophie at Dyson. You can use the machine with the windows open however, it would take longer for the machine to clean the air and it would be doing this constantly, as you would be introducing new pollutants into the room.
However if you use the machine with the windows closed, it would clean the air quicker because there are no new pollutants getting into the room and therefore the air would remain clean.
Overall, the effectiveness is not effected if you have the windows open, it would just take the machine longer to provide a clean room.
