Quality and performance is 100% Highly recommended
Good steamer with high steam output
Bought to refresh clothes before wear and works great. Also works well to iron things straight after a wash. Heats up fast and high power. Maybe not as portable as other makes but larger water container makes sense. Without it you would be able to do couple of items.
This steams really great
I hung my sons suit up for weeks because there were creases in it, after 2 weeks they were still there so I purchased this steamer, after a minute or so the suit looked as new as the day I purchased it, excellent purchase, I would definitely recommend this
Thanks for your questions about various handheld steamers. Unfortunately, none of them work on any other voltages than 220-240V. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Kind regards, Paul.

Hi Nessie & any other's interested in the "spits" referred to when charging garment steamers up. Some manufacturers &/or types of garment steamers do spit or emit a lot of boiling hot water when the element is on & heating the water to boiling point till it then produces steam. By then there's very little water left in the reservoir & the actual steam dies after a few minutes.
Most cheaper models are NOT designed for both vertical AND horizontal steaming & so any deviation other than an upright position also causes the "spits" as the angle causes the water to pool away from the element & will also make the element cut out as it needs the water over it to produce steam. Think of it like an upright kettle with the element in the base - it's exactly the same principle.
I have recently purchased this model & can confirm it does not spit water on heating, nor in use. This is down to the element placing & having water covering it to heat up at most angles but NOT upside down.
Additionally I don't recommend you use store bought fragranced ironing water as this has caused some steamers to forcibly spew boiling water from the vents in quite a torrent for several seconds. Very dangerous for anyone.
Suggest you use filtered plain tap water. Water filters are very inexpensive & prolong the lifetime of many home appliances with elements i.e. kettles, coffee pod machines, steam irons etc. Eliminating limescale by filtering water for these uses keeps the element & vents etc free of limescale etc.
I recommend this Philips Garment Steamer or ensure you choose ANY garment steamer with both vertical & horizontal capabilities.
I do not recommend just an upright vertical use garment steamer. Look for better models with the newer, safer, features even if they are a bit more expensive. No-one wants scalds from "spits" or risk spilling boiling water onto yourself or clothing if it cannot perform horizontally & vertically. Plus the equipment could become risky to use & the element won't last long.
I do hope this helps Nessie as these hand-held garment steamers are so useful especially for we older folks & disabled alike.

Hi Nessie, thanks for your question and interest in the garment steamer. I read your question very carefully, but, unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Would you mind contacting us on Facebook or Twitter and elaborate a little bit, so I can provide you with assistance? I'd love to! I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Chase.
