Wish I'd bought this sooner
just wish I'd bought this Dyson sooner. It's easy to manoeuvre around and easy to clean. Battery life is good and it sits nicely on the wall holder when not in use. I also bought the car cleaning attachments and my car has never been cleaner!

Only bought this recently (on offer) and am happy so far. Had an old v6 which still works but needed something easy to use and good on different floor types.

Well worth it
Bought this to replace my old V6 and was surprised how much more powerful it is. I particularly like the hair detangler as I have long hair and we have a cat so very good at picking up hair. Otherwise has the same useful features as the V6 but better.

Highly effective cordless vacuum cleaner
A fantastic lightweight but highly effective cordless vacuum cleaner. Easy to empty and charge. All of these attributes make it easy and inviting to do a quick vacuum more often. Charge time is sufficient for our 1,000 square foot flat.

Updated Dyson V8 (Cyclone)
This is my first cordless although I have used my Mother's older Dyson cordless. The newer features like not having to hold the on/off button on all the time, the extended battery life which is replaceable and the increased suction all adds up to a great buy. I'm finding that I can do all around my 2 bedroom house easily without the battery running out. I have a golden retriever and a cat and this model has no problem collecting all the hairs on the mid setting. I've not had to use the highest suction level which depletes the battery quickly. I'm finding that using it as a handheld with the mini motorised tool on the lower settings is great for cleaning furniture, cushions wherever the pets leave hair. It's also so much easier to do my steep stairs and not have to carry my old heavy Dyson upright upstairs. It's made vacuuming so much easier for me. I was also really pleased to be able to buy it at Argos with £100 discount!

The Dyson website says the V8 unit DOES come with a wall storage dock - I presume you store the unit on the wall and simply plug into the charging plug.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.
We would like to inform you that loop pile carpets are made with loops of yarn that can snag or fray if exposed to aggressive brushing. The Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum comes with a motorized cleaner head featuring rotating bristles, which are excellent for deep cleaning—but may be too harsh for delicate loop pile surfaces.
To ensure safe use:
Use the soft roller head or turn off the brush bar, if your model allows. This provides suction without agitation, making it safer for loop pile carpets.
Dyson also offers attachments designed for delicate surfaces. If you have the soft roller cleaner head (typically used for hard floors), it may be gentler on loop pile carpet.
Test a small area first to ensure no damage occurs.
Avoid high-power modes that increase brush speed and suction.
Regularly check for snagged fibers after vacuuming.
