I bought the Alexa echo dot for my husband as a.present for Christmas and today I finally set it up.It was so.easy to do through the app and we have had such a laugh with it as it picks up every word you say.I have done the amazon music on a 30 day free trial as well to get started.My husband loved his sisters one and that is why I got him one but I'm going to enjoy using it too

Didn't work with NHS wifi - refund refused
Bought for husband in hospital temporarily paralysed in order for him to use voice commands. Plugged it in but did not use it as the Alexa app would not connect with NHS wifi. Took it back to Argos for a refund the following day. Refund refused as I had opened the box amd plugged it in. Appalling customer care, will never shop in Argos again.

Yes, you can connect an Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen to your stereo, but primarily via Bluetooth. The Echo Dot 5 does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack for a wired connection, so you must pair it wirelessly to your stereo receiver or speakers Bluetooth input. This is what I did.
