Had a series 9 bough new head but after a while didn't feel that shave was close so decided to upgrade to pro plus shave much closer not as heavy head lick switch improved very pleased I upgraded

I haven't used an electric shaver since I was a teenager(A long! time ago!). I've wet shaved ever since. However, after some recent bad nicks and cuts I thought about going back to an electric shaver. After some on line research I toyed with going for a cheaper model , but I went all out with the Braun Series 9. It is expensive, but well worth it. It gives a great close shave, even in the problem areas around the neck etc. There are so many package options . The offer from Argos was the best as it included a chargeable travel case and cleaner unit was the one I went for. Well worth it.

A brilliantly designed shaver that makes grooming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Series 9 Pro+ 9670cc is honestly a brilliant bit of kit. Braun have really nailed making shaving feel effortless. The self-cleaning feature is a big win too - you barely have to think about it. I still like to knock most of the loose hairs out myself first, but it's nice knowing the shaver basically cleans itself. In terms of design, it feels great in the hand. The grip is spot on, it's comfortable to hold, and it glides smoothly across your skin. It cuts right down almost like a proper razor blade, which I wasn't expecting from an electric shaver. The charging case is another feature I really like. It's ideal if you're on the road a lot, staying in hotels during the week and home at weekends, or even just heading off on holiday. And I know it's minor, but I love the colour of the travel case - the light grey actually matches my travel bag, which is a nice little bonus. The cleaning station looks really modern as well, so it sits nicely in a modern bathroom without standing out. It also matches the colour of the shaver, which keeps everything looking neat. Plus, the flip-up trimmer on the back is genuinely handy for quick tidy-ups. Personally, because I have a beard, I used it mainly for cleaning up around my cheeks. It does a great job with that, but if you're after perfectly squared-off lines, this wouldn't be my first pick - it's a bit hard to see exactly where the edge is with an electric head. But for someone who goes fully clean-shaven, I think this shaver would be absolutely spot on, and that's what I'm basing my rating on.

Charging is easy because I mostly just drop it into the cleaning/charging base and forget about it. The quick-charge option is handy when I’m in a rush. Cutting performance is excellent — it handles thick growth really smoothly and doesn’t irritate my neck like cheaper shavers have done. Maintenance is minimal since the docking station cleans and lubricates everything for me, though the cleaning cartridges do add a bit of ongoing cost. Cleaning is effortless; I rarely rinse it manually. In terms of value, it’s expensive, but I can’t deny it gives consistently close, comfortable shaves with very little effort on my part.
