Looks Great, Hate the Sensor
This bin looks great and is perfect for our usage with the the in-built caddy and recycling compartment. What's not great however is the stupidly annoying sensor opening mechanism. It worked for the first few days.. now it only opens slightly or sometimes doesn't even open at all. My advice would be not to purchase - I regret it already and will likely be returning the bin once I can find a suitable alternative.
The bin looks great! The electronic opening is a bit hit and miss and requires 6 AA batteries. Not sure how long they will last but they need to be fairly charged for the lid to open fully. It's a bit hard to get bags that fit nicely, though I've not really looked into this. The top section is capacious and we are using it for recycling, and the lower drawer works well for non-recyclable rubbish in a bag and coffee capsules!
Stylish and practical
A nice stylish looking bin. We needed something to consolidate and sort three kinds of waste (food/recycling/general), and this is perfect for the job. The recycling drawer is a little clunky to pull in and out, but it's a small complaint for something that neatly hides away what used to be stored in two 50l bins and a food caddy! It is a lot of money for what it is...but if it lasts then I think it will be worth it in the long run.
I can confirm that the dimensions are with the bin lid closed.
I hope this helps :)
