So good No need to turn on or off the switch
Fantastic! Have whole apartment fitted with Philips Hue lighting system. This motion sensor is small, discreet and elegantly designed. Easy to pair and set up with hub and light bulbs. Use this dinner in my walk in wardrobe - so its illuminated as soon as I step inside. Also in the settings during the day its brightly lit, while after 10pm to 6am its a very dim warm light. Brilliant !
This Philips sensor is a god send. Set it up to activate say from dusk to dawn. Lights will automatically come on as you enter the room then dim and go off if no further movement or if you depart that room. Am considering getting three more but will leave it till I see if they become available at a discount.
It will not control a normal led bulb. The Hue bulbs have the ability to communicate with the Philip's hub and so does the sensor. The Hue app should allow you to experiment with different brightness. The sensor should be able to detect movement AND daylight levels but you then set how you want the Hue bulb to respond to that information along with time of day Eg 30% power if after 22:00hrs
