Simple setup and great coverage
Setup is very much centred around the smart phone app so be ready to install that to get going. After that it's absolute simplicity to setup and our 4 bedroom house is well covered by just two units. If you wanted great signal all the way into the garden or a garage 3 might be needed.
Neat little wifi pucks
Couldn't have been easier to set up. Great speed and coverage all over the house
No more buffering
I was having issues, especially with bbc iplayer over Chromecast, regularly buffering. I have over 50Mbps from ISP so I assumed the router was underpowered due to high number of devices connected to my network. I was right. Google wifi was able to handle all the connected devices and deliver non buffering HD streams to multiple rooms at the same time. That and the excellent interface to manage my network via my smartphone and excellent coverage provided by mesh! I love it!
My understanding is that with Virgin Media Hub 3 in modem mode you only get one port - one WAN IP so it depends if you are using this for anything else, but yes this would work with any modem.

Hello Tommy, I can confirm that each Google Home device has two Ethernet ports to be able to connect to other devices. You will simply need an Ethernet cable to connect the computer and the Google home device together. Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
