About this product
Smoke in the hallway, carbon monoxide leaking from the boiler, this combination alarm handles both dangers in one unit. It sounds an audible alarm and announces which threat it's detected, so you know what you're dealing with. The voice warning works alongside the high-pitch alarm to wake sleeping children more effectively. Front-loading battery compartment means you can swap batteries without taking the whole thing off the ceiling. Works in most homes and includes an end-of-life warning so you know when it needs replacing.
Hush button silences nuisance alarms when you've burnt the toast. Test button lets you check it's working properly. The sensor gives you a decade of protection. Runs on two AA batteries, included in the box. BSI certified to meet UK safety standards.

Peace of mind from a combi smoke/CO alarm
I purchased two of these combi alarms to save having separate smoke and CO alarms in the house for the boiler and gas fire. Replaceable battery as many contained sealed batteries which is a benefit and very load!!! Easy to install and peace of mind. The only thing I would advise is that these are quite large devices, so if you are unsure view item first before purchasing.

It's a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm ...
How do you review a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm? It flashes and beeps loudly as required when tested. Not going to try blowing smoke or carbon monoxide at it so hoping it's reliable and sensitive. It's stayed on the ceiling so far and if it didn't that's more to do with our DIY than the alarm!

Great to find an exact replacement for fire/CO2 ak
Easy to order and great to get a replacement to a previous item which needed replacing. I was able to fit on original base plate so no need to drill etc. only difference is batteries have changed from previous item but that is no problem.

This device does not contain ionising radiation. It is a combination alarm featuring a photoelectric smoke sensor and a carbon monoxide sensor, as we no longer produce ionization-based alarms.

I have not yet put mine up, but I will not be screwing it into the ceiling. It comes with a back plate you can fix it to the wall so that it is safe, if you just put it on the shelf it could come down i You could try putting it on a shelf and see what happens. I hope that helps you.
