A great introduction to science.
The microscope is really good for a first piece of science equipment, and my daughter saw the hairs on the back of a fly, so i was quite impressed, and so was she. It looks good too, almost cute, the light is great, and really helps to illuminate as well as magnify. My Daughter had a brilliant hour magnifying things from all over the house, but i had to draw the line at nose treasure! From a grown up point of view this is a brilliant product, and i would highly recommend it.
Good in theory but it is very basic and my children quickly became bored of it! They also found it difficult to focus not that much better than a magnifying glass.
This item is strong colourful and very robust for little children. It helps stimulate their curiosity and investigation especially when finding bugs in the garden and worms. My child loved it and playa with it every day outside. The microscope is clear enough and can be focused easily. Nice and chunky for little hands. . Hours of endless fun have been had for this value for money product. As stated in the box it requires 3 aaa batteries and also guidance booklet with activity ideas.
I can advise that this microscope is suitable for ages 3 to 7 years.
