The packaging may vary overtime increasing using recyclable materials, it will depend on whatever your local recycling centre is able to handle/process the supplied packaging (the type will be marked on the packaging itself)

Hope this helps and Thank you for using Argos Q&A
The plastic was not recyclable in my area (Harlow in Essex.) However it maybe where you live. I put my in the general waste.
The 800 pocket is a single layer of pockets, the 2000 is a double layer of pockets, making it a higher specification.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Argos Q and A.
The springs wont penetrate the border. Each spring is housed in it's own individual fabric case so no wire will come into contact with the border fabric. You will feel the springs if you are sitting on the edge of the mattress but you wont if you are lying on it.
This mattress is not suitable for use on an adjustable bed. Best option for that type of bed is the studio mattress. Search "studio by silentnight" on argos for a range of comfort options
Can the metal springs along the side of the mattress be felt on all Silentnight pocket sprung mattresses? On the mattress I bought the springs are prominent even when not sitting on bed. I think in time they will push through the fabric cover. I would like recommendations for a similar mattress without prominent springs along sides.
The border/spring edge will compress as you sit on the edge of the bed. This is normal. If it feels like the springs dig into your body when you lie on the bed then this wouldn't be normal. You will, however, feel the springs compress when you sit on the edge of the mattress
The Bingley is slightly firmer than the 1000 Pocket Essentials model but both are classed as a Medium tension mattress when measured using British Standard guidelines
The Middleton Comfort option is a very similar feel but slightly softer than the Bingley mattress. The Middleton Memory option is firmer than the Bingley mattress. I hope that this helps.
I can confirm this mattress comes in single, double and kingsize.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
This mattress is not available as a small double. However, there is a similar specification option available as a small double on CAT NO 730/8035
A sheet of timber to give a flat, solid base, would be perfect solution.
If there are no restrictions as to the height for the bottom bunk then may well be fine but if there is a height restriction or side rail on the bunk, then it may not be suitable. Silentnight offer a mattress designed for use on bunk mattresses on CAT NO 314/8512
