Cheap enough but does the job
Purchased this bike a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to assemble. Most of the screws/bolts etc already connected to relevant parts which was really helpful in speeding up assembly. Relatively easy to move around and nice and quiet to use, makes cycling whilst watching TV easy. My only complaint is there was damage to the plastic connector for the 'pulse' featureso i cant use that. However I didn't see this until the very last part of the assembly. I decided then that I'll just do without it rather that dismantle and return. So maybe check everything before you put it all together. The various modes on the small screen require AA x 2 batteries (aren't included). Still unsure about how to clear and reset modes. Work in progress. Overall a good little bike that doesn't take up too much room and I think great for the price.

Poor Design
Returned within 5 days . Seat is most uncomfortable one I have ever sat on. Pedals too close to frame. Return service at my local Sainsbury’s was excellent money refunded to my account in under an hour.

Disappointing
Bought this 1mth ago quite disappointed but I suppose its flaws reflect the price seat extremely uncomfortable even after purchasing extra padded seat cover little room between seat and handle bars seat cannot be adjusted back further so its difficult hopping on off bike without banging your knees after short time cycling constant loud knocking noise screw constantly falling off back of timing clock which never works too much hassle to dismantle and return so ill just have to grin bear it as I bought it really to try strengthen my knees but I cannot sit on it too long due to discomfort from seat definitely would not recommend

I experienced exactly the same problem with this bike - Argos were not able to help but I was able to secure the services of a repairman who experienced great difficulty obtaining the part. Sadly the pedals did not hold up and I am now forced to replace this bike - Id like to replace with same model but I am apprehensive about an irreparable design fault.

Hi There.
Opti Folding Magnetic Exercise Bike:
Having checked the instructions, the bike is a manually operated bike. It does not need any power supply to work, only what the user puts in.
2 x AAA are the only batteries that are required with the bike. That is to operate the monitor.
The bike will require the moving parts to be lubricated with light oil periodically to prevent premature wear.
