About this product
The Overlap Pressure Treated 8x6 Apex Garden Shed with Double Doors from Forest has a practical, traditional design and the solid timber boarded floor enables the storage of heavier items such as lawnmowers or bags of compost. The two fixed windows are made from shatter-proof polycarbonate and fixed with security screws. The doors have a strong Z frame to give them added strength. Made in the UK with FSC certified timber from sustainable sources.
Wooden sheds, like this one, come supplied with a floor but still need to be built on a strong, level base such as concrete, paving slabs or tarmac. This base is not supplied. Do not place directly onto a base of grass, sand, earth etc. As natural movement will affect stability, reduce lifespan, cause the door(s) to warp and encourage rot.
The double doors feature strong Z framing to give them added strength and the hidden hinges provide extra security for the workshop. They can also be secured with an additional padlock (not included) through the hasp and staple fastening.
The Pressure Treated solid boarded floor is strong and sturdy, meaning it can bear more weight - ideal for storing heavier items such as lawn mowers or bags of compost.

Want a shed dont even consider this one
I was looking for a half decent shed, and this one wasn't even close! The base was flimsy and not even constructed properly, there were gaps upto 3/4 inch. Not even close to the 6x8 size even if you measure the outside with the roof. The windows were made out of cheap flimsy plastic, and no chance of provding any security let alone surving a slight gust of wind. No felt provided either! Total rubbish! Returned and spent more on a security shed worth paying the extra to avoid this shed.
Thank you for your enquiry. Your shed can go directly onto a firm level surface i.e. concrete or pavers. The shed will come with a floor and its own integral bearers to allow air flow under your shed.

You would need a base on this to sit on the concrete.

The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
