Small & Light, but dreadful optically.
This all plastic (body) "Kit" lens was supplied with M6 Mk2 camera and is very 'poor'. Suffers from severe barrel distortion @ 15mm, but is tolerably sharp ~ less distortion @ 45mm, but is dreadfully soft. This M6-Mk2 Kit was not 'cheap', and whilst the camera BODY will ONLY generate "CR3" files (NOT CR2!), and can certainly produce good images; don't waste your time with the included lens, attempting to do so with this piece of price-limited junk pertched on the camera's front is not likely to produce prize winning pictures!
A brilliant 24-72 equivalent lens
I bought the Eos M3 and this was the 'Kit' lens. To my mind the 24mm to 72mm (equivalent) focal range is much better option than the usual 18-55 kit lenses and better balanced on the tiny M3. I favour the 15mm end but have no optical issues with the lens at all. In fact my only real gripe is the minimum f6.3 aperture at the 45mm setting, very poor but not the end of the world.
Poor filming quality
I bought a canon camera that came with this lens. The lens is very poor for filming videos, the image comes blurry and it’s impossible to record inside the house. Unless the sun is shining, which is quite hard in UK. I bought lights, but still very bad image quality.
